# About Chatdrift - Our Approach to Customer Support

Every customer deserves a quick, useful answer. That belief is the whole reason Chatdrift exists — and it shapes every decision we make about the product.

## 01. Why we built Chatdrift

Most support tools were built for the team, not for the moment a customer is actually stuck. We started from the other direction: what does a customer need in the thirty seconds after they ask a question? Usually it's simple — a clear answer, or a fast path to someone who can help. Chatdrift is built to make that moment as calm and quick as possible, for the customer and for the team behind the scenes.

## 02. What we believe about support

Good support isn't about answering fast for the sake of speed — it's about answering well, and knowing when speed isn't the point. We think AI is genuinely good at the repetitive, well-documented questions that make up most of a support queue, which frees up people to spend their time on the conversations that actually need judgment, empathy, or a decision only a human can make. We don't think AI should hide that it's AI, and we don't think automation should ever be a wall between a customer and a real answer.

## 03. How the product reflects that

Chatdrift's AI agents are trained on the knowledge a team actually has — its docs, its policies, its past conversations — instead of guessing at general answers. When a question goes beyond what the agent should handle alone, it hands off to a person with the full conversation attached, not a summary that loses context. Everything lives in one shared inbox, one widget, one set of workflows, so a support team isn't stitching together five different tools to have one conversation.

## 04. Where we're headed

We're a small, focused product team, and we build Chatdrift by using it on our own support conversations first. As we add capability, our test is simple: does this make the moment after a customer asks a question faster and better, without making the person on the other end of it work harder? If not, it doesn't ship.
